Mathematics
BS Mathematics program typically includes courses in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics, Abstract Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, Fluid Mechanics, Partial Differential Equations Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling.
The program may also include elective courses in areas such as computational Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Pure Mathematics. The focus of research in Pure Mathematics will be on Algebraic Geometry and Operator Theory, while in Applied Mathematics the emphasis will be on scientific Computation, Mathematical Biology, Quantitative Finance and Symmetry methods.
We aim to provide all students with the foundational skills required to recognize and appreciate multiple mathematical perspectives. To provide high-quality education by engaging students in a meaningful and positive intellectual experience, which sharpens their abilities and encourages students to take additional coursework in the Mathematical Sciences.
